Stand Up To Trash Club
at Dana Hills High School

Creating a Stand Up To Trash High School Club isn’t just about picking up litter,

it’s about picking up leadership, purpose and the power to shape the future.

High school is a pivotal time when young people are forming their identities and discovering what they care about. By giving students a space to take meaningful action on environmental issues,

the club empowers them to be part of the solution.

It provides hands-on opportunities to lead cleanups, organize awareness campaigns, explore sustainability topics and become active voices for ocean protection in their schools and communities.

Through the club, students gain real-world skills in leadership, collaboration and problem-solving,

all while building a deeper connection to the natural world.

It helps foster pride in place, a sense of responsibility and the belief that one person’s actions

can ripple outward to make a difference.

Most importantly, it shows them that their voice matters and that they don’t have to wait

to grow up to stand up.
