How Do I Start The Hunt?

The great thing about the Scavenger Hunt is that you can start any day and at any stop, there’s no set beginning point! We designed it this way to make the experience as flexible and accessible as possible. Whether you want to start at the Richard Henry Dana Statue for a historical dive into the town’s maritime past or kick off your adventure at Salt Creek Beach to connect with nature, it’s entirely up to you.
Participants have one full month to complete all 10 stops, so you can take your time exploring Dana Point at your own pace. Whether you spread it out over several weekends or tackle a few stops during a lunchtime stroll, the hunt is designed to fit into your schedule. You don’t need to worry about rushing, it’s about enjoying the journey, learning along the way and discovering new places in your community.
As you visit each stop, you’ll get to explore the town’s history, culture and environmental gems. And at each location, there’s a fun challenge or educational nugget to discover, making it an interactive experience.
Once you’ve visited all 10 stops, you’ll have a greater understanding of Dana Point’s past and present, all while contributing to a sense of community and stewardship.
So, whenever you're ready, just head out, start at any stop, and enjoy the adventure. You have an entire month to check off all the stops and we can’t wait to see what you discover!
