A fun and interactive way for participants to learn about the rich history of The City of Dana Point

What

A free 10 stop, month long fun and interactive citywide historical self-guided tour of some of the iconic places that makes this city so great! 

​

Each stop is identified by a QR code to learn more about the stop and sponsor hosting. 

​

Join us in a historical and environmental journey exploring the City of Dana Point. 

​

Explorers will venture throughout the City of Dana Point, spanning from Salt Creek Beach to Doheny and points in between. Highlights include visits to the Richard Henry Dana Statue, the Drogher Statue (Dana Point's oldest), Kiicha Huts from the Acjachemen Tribe and more.

​

Delve into Dana Point's vibrant history, uncovering stories of its early settlers, the founding of our community, and the significance of preserving our coastal heritage.

Explores will go all around the City from Salt Creek Beach to Doheny and everywhere in between.

How To Participate

1. Visit each stop, take a pic of the location and use the hashtag #DanaPointScavengerHunt to track your progress on Instagram

If you don't have an Instagram account, just take a picture at each stop. 

​

2. Once all 10 stops have been completed email your pics to Info@StandUpToTrash.com

 

-Subject: Scavenger Hunt

 

3. After all 10 stops have been completed, 

participants will need to attend either the Stand Up To Trash or Doheny State Beach Earth Day Beach Cleanup to be eligible to win a prize!

​

4. Have fun and a sense of adventure! 

 

**BONUS for picking up trash at the location, take a pic of the cleanup!
