Get ready for the 2026 Dana Point Citywide Scavenger Hunt!

 

A free, month long adventure filled with discovery, history, fun challenges and community connection!

 

This interactive self-guided experience features 10 exciting stops throughout Dana Point, where participants will explore iconic landmarks, hidden gems, coastal viewpoints, parks and local favorites that make our city so special.

 

Participants will solve clues leading them to each stop, where they’ll discover fun facts, local history, environmental insights, and interactive activities along the way. 

 

Once there, they can scan the QR code to learn more about the participating sponsor hosting that location.

New for 2026, explorers can collect stamps in their Scavenger Hunt Passport while enjoying special offers and discounts from participating local businesses throughout the month.

 

From the Richard Henry Dana Statue and Don Hansen Plaza to the Nature Interpretive Center, Lantern Village, Young’s Beach Shack at Salt Creek Beach, Capistrano Beach and more, this citywide journey invites families, friends, visitors and residents to experience Dana Point in a whole new way.

 

Come discover the stories, scenery and spirit that make Dana Point one of California’s most treasured coastal communities, while celebrating the importance of caring for the places we love.

Where

The scavenger hunt takes place throughout the City of Dana Point, stretching from Salt Creek Beach

to Capistrano Beach and everywhere in between. 

Participants can complete the adventure at their own pace anytime during the month of June.​

Pick up your official Scavenger Hunt Passport at participating sponsor locations or the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce and begin your adventure whenever you’re ready.

The hunt is completely self-guided, so you can start any day during the month of June and move through the experience at your own pace.


Each page in the passport contains a clue leading you to the next destination, turning the entire experience into a fun, citywide adventure of discovery. 🧭
